Is it bad that I let my LO sleep through the night?

And by sleep through I mean he will sleep 10 hours straight without waking. My friend said it's bad and I should be waking him up after 8 hrs to feed and then put back down? Does anyone else do this or just let their baby sleep?

I really can’t see 2 hours being detrimental to his health. If he was hungry he would wake for it as the deeper sleep is usually the first part of the night. If he’s getting enough milk during his wake hours all should be fine 🙂 he’s a very generous little man if he’s letting you sleep that long 😂 x

I would say let him sleep! He will wake himself up if he needs you or is hungry. I am so jealous of you ladies😩 I’m still lucky if I get 2 hour stretches at night. I am soooooo exhausted.

Sleep is just as crucial to your baby’s growth as food is. Let that baby sleep and enjoy it!

I do. He’s going through sleep regression now so he stopped sleeping through the night for the time being. But my little guy has 10-12 hours before and I just let him 🤷🏻‍♀️ He’s absolutely fine. There’s no reason to wake them up.

I let my LO sleep as long as she wants. I wake her up from naps though during the day. She needs the calories to sleep through the night. 2 hours is the longest I let her nap but that’s a rare occasion.

My daughter sleeps 10-12 hours a night and we let her. Our doctor doesnt seem to be concerned so I'm not 🤷‍♀️

Definitely let the baby sleep and tell your friend she is nuts. 😂 Our girl sleeps at least 11 hours straight every night. She has even had a few 14 hour nights! She’s in the 90th percentile for pretty much everything, so clearly she is more than fine with not eating during the night.
