Anyone ever use plan b?

Ok so I'm 6 week's pp and haven't gotten my first period since birth yet. We are done have kids... like done done. We have 3 together and he has a son from a previous relationship. Im 37 he's 45 so yeah done lol. He's getting a vasectomy but this morning things went further than anticipated. I haven't been on bc since we've been together( pull out worked for us when we went trying for babies) and i have never taken plan b before. I just took it about 10 minutes ago. Will it still work even though I'm just 6 week's pp without a period and what kind of side effects am i in for? The hormones effect my anxiety that's why i want taking bc. Tia
