Whole face wax/laser?

So I’m super conscious (insecure) about my facial hair. I have dark side burns and hair around my jawline and chin. And also some peach fuzz around my cheeks. I want to remove them but not sure how. I have read about shaving and waxing. I don’t like shaving because it grows too fast. So waxing would be ideal, but I’m scared I’m going to get bums from ingrown hairs. So if you have done it please tell me your experience. But if you have done laser I would like to know that too because I have read that some people that do it after a while more hair starts growing.
