Effectiveness of expired pregnancy test

I have a bunch of pregnancy tests left over from trying for baby #1. Their expiry date is June 2018. Fast forward to today, I’m on day 31 of my cycle which is when I usually start my period. I didnt take any ovulation tests, so I’m not sure on when I ovulate. Anyhow, as it’s only month 2 of trying, I didn’t want to go out and buy new tests so I thought I’d just use one of the expired tests. Anyhow, there’s definitely a faint line (hard to tell in the photo). But I guess my questions are:

- has anyone had a false positive with an expired test?

- I’m going to buy a new test tomorrow but wondering when I should take it. Would tomorrow be too soon? Should I wait longer? With my first baby, I didn’t test until 2 weeks after my missed period. So I’m clueless! Haha
