Stressing out!!

Hi moms!

I have a huge problem right now with our son, he’ll be 2 in May. The problem is he’ll point to the fridge wanting a juice, or just anything to drink in general (he gets water, Hi-C, milk, juices, NO soda) and we’ll fill his cup up, or we’ll give him a juice box or those plastic kool aid juice bottles and he’ll drink a couple drinks and the rest of the time he’s spitting it out.

He knows it’s wrong, he’s been corrected via a pop on the mouth, time out, getting his drink taken from him, everything, but he still results in spitting out his drink. It’s to the point he’ll do it anywhere. He’ll bend over and watch it fall out of his mouth on the floor, the table, the furniture, the stairs, everywhere!

Recently I’ve started giving him only water, or watering down his drinks because it’s not as sticky of a cleanup that way.

My concern is that he’s not getting enough to drink, but he doesn’t seem to have any care in the world. Idk what else to do though. He needs milk in his system, not just water or juice...

Also to add, he started out with only spitting out milk and got corrected for that, but now it’s every beverage he’s given and I’m going insane lol.

If you dealt with this same problem: How did you all manage to correct the issue? He’s never been one to turn down drinks or food ):
