Stay at home moms on holidays?

What do yall do when it comes to buying presents but you dont have money? My husband spent $1000 on me for vday and I literally dont have money (he doesnt care that I spend the money he makes considering I stay home with our babies but it's just weird to buy him a gift with his own money) and obviously sex is great but that's not a gift. It seems silly to spend his money on a gift. I hate this.

Don’t feel bad to spend the money on him. I’m a stay at home mom and my husband gives me some money to spend on myself and baby, but I also get him stuff to let him know I appreciate him and I’m always thinking of him. You have no idea how happy it’ll make him even if that was his money, obviously you won’t tell him that’s your money just give him the presents and enjoy the moment. He’ll be very happy! ☺️

It’s not his money. It your (mutual) money. Is the baby only your baby because you’re staying home? Obviously not.

I take out cash the month before any holidays / birthdays. Enough for a nice gift, nothing crazy. But then he can't see exactly where I spent the money and ruin the surprise 😜 he knows I've taken the cash, and assumes why, so I never feel weird. I stay home and take care of the babes all day, we all are doing work even if we aren't "at work" ya know? If you feel weird, like I used to, I would bake his favorite dessert, cook a great meal, and give him some BJ coupons to use whenever he wants one🤣😭🤣😭

Same boat! But then I just thought about it and it's not "his" money. It's ours. He never says I/my/mine, always we/us when it comes to money and bills. I take care of the house and kids and he goes to work. So I suppose buying him something with that money wouldnt be bad,  BUT, he doesn't buy unnecessary things, but spends .kre on items to get the best quality of things as to not have to repurchase them. So I feel weird buying hin stuff unless I know he needs it but won't get it bc he doesn't ABSOLUTELY need it. Idk hope I helped 🤷🤦🤦

It’s not his money, it’s joint money. If you were working, you’d be paying a daycare.... so bare minimum what you would be paying for daycare is “your earnings”.

We have a joint bank account so I still use it to buy him stuff. He doesn't mind. 😁
