Laryngomalacia anyone else’s baby been diagnosed

Ashley

Laryngomalacia is a congenital softening of the tissues of the larynx (voice box) above the vocal cords. This is the most common cause of noisy breathing in infancy. The laryngeal structure is malformed and floppy, causing the tissues to fall over the airway opening and partially block it. The ENT specialist said that babies typically grow out of it and we have a follow up in 6 weeks. From the day she was born I said she was extra noisy and my dr had said it was this, so we seen the specialist yesterday and she gave us more information.
