Ever heard of this? Dr miscarriage rules

During my bad experience with my 1st ultra sound. The dr was rude about me be bigger in size. She then went on to say if you start to bleed and think your having miscarriage don’t go to the er at all call them. If it’s the middle of the night don’t go to er, don’t call their after hours number just wait to the next morning when they are open to call.

Yeah that sounds very wrong. My dr said to call them, but go to the ER. I would find a different dr.

Well he’s kinda right. There is nothing the ER can do for a miscarriage. And a doctor doesn’t need to be woken - the situation will be the same in the morning. 
I had one last year and the reasons to go to the ER are excessive bleeding, fever, and negative blood group needing anti-d

I second that. Find a different doctor!!
There’s no reason to stick with someone who you don’t feel 100% comfortable with. And most importantly Weight shaming is not okay. Especially from a medical professional!! As a plus size mommy, whose had one very healthy pregnancy with a now healthy little boy and I’m starting my second plus size pregnancy (sept2020) which is going well so far too; I’ve never been shamed or made uncomfortable. I’ve had honest conversations with my doctor where he’s given me information and risks related to my weight and what his plan to address these things will be, but never once has he shamed me or made me feel bad. Good doctors are out there!!
I’m sorry you had to have that experience! I hope you find a good doctor and enjoy your appointments from here moving forward!
