Thoughts on 2nd baby shower?

My MIL asked me today if she could throw me a baby shower for baby #2 and I said it wasn't necessary but if she wanted to I would be okay with that.

Anyway, I'll be 34 weeks at this baby shower and my husband said he doesn't want to go to another baby shower. 🙄 I was thinking since he didn't want to come I could leave my 2 year old daughter at home with him so I wouldn't have to chase her around and just have strictly women there so I can enjoy myself. Is that awful of me?
