Baptized in the Holy Ghost

Lededra D • Hey, I am 26 years of age. Me and my better half have being trying to Concieve for 6 years. Hopefully we'll be able to get our little blessing.

Mark 1: 8

I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

I have a testimony to tell you ladies and I thought this scripture would be fitting. So I got baptized at the age of 15/16. And I honestly thought that being baptized was going to help me live holy. I'd been going to church since I was a young girl but no one had really taught me about God. They told the simple stuff like repent and God will forgive you. But they never told about spiritual warfare, generational curses/sins, prayer, fasting and etc. I knew about Jesus, but I didnt know him in the depths that I needed to know him. So needless to say I did good for a solid week. Then I slid back into my old sins. I thought well the baptism was like a bad perm that didnt take. And I continued on in sin. It was like I was in a rabbit hold going deeper and deeper. I even got to the point of seriously considering a new religion. Then 7 or 8 years later I went to a church that bad everything seem so much clearer. And within a few sundays I knew I wanted God. I wanted God on a new level. I had tasted and found the Lord to be good. I gave up weed, alcohol, porn and cussing. I let go of some bitterness. The Lord filled me with his Holy Ghost and I haven't went back nor do I intend to. That's the power of the Holy Ghost. I still have some growing to do but I'm a lot better than I once was.
