Low numbers on analysis/icsi/ivf

Hi all. My husband and I have been ttc baby number 1 for about a year now. Around the 7 month mark I had a few tests done and all came back normal. This week he has gotten tested and everything came back super low and it just said icsi or ivf recommended. I haven’t talked to any doctors about the results yet but I’m feeling scared and defeated. Is there anything they can give him before jumping to ivf? What even is icsi? Please let me know if you have any knowledge about this. Thanks. Xoxo.
