Mucinex?

Am I allowed to take Mucinex?  I have the worst cough ever and don’t know what to take. My throat and chest hurt so much from coughing, I can’t sleep, etc.  My OB office closes early on Fridays, so I missed the time to call and ask.  Have you taken it? I’m finding mixed info online about it.

Yes you can. The urgent care doctor just gave my some for my cold. It’s the worst I’ve ever had.

My dr told me I could take both mucinex and robitussin. She said to look at the generic names on them and be sure they don’t have the same generic medicine in both.
