Did you circumcise your child?

My husband and I are discussing whether or not to circumcise our son and we want this to be an informed decision. We have been doing research but I wanted to hear of others experiences. 
Why did you choose to circumcise (or not circumcise) and what information led you to making that decision? 
* I don’t want this to turn into a debate.

This comes up frequently as a topic and it usually gets pretty heated.
In a nutshell, I DIDN'T circumsize my child because
1) Except in the United States and areas of dense Islamic/Jewish population, circumcision is not the popular choice. Only 30% of people worldwide are circumcised, and 2/3 of that number are muslims (meaning it's mainly religion-based, and I am neither Jewish nor Muslim).
2) it is RARELY medically necessary, and if it is, it can be done whenever. Not just in infancy.
3) about 7% of all circumcisions are botched in some way, that sucks.
4) Complications, though rare, could actually lead to death. Infections and too much blood loss are very dangerous for newborns.
5) I refuse to let porn tell me how my son's body should look. If he wants to modify his body, that is his choice and right. I do not believe it is mine unless it is medically necessary.
6) I'm from the US. It's a cultural thing. I am not a blind follower of tradition. If it makes sense and is safe, sure, but in cases like this I've decided that just because "everyone does it" does not mean I need to do it or that it is inherently a good decision.
And, a final note:
7) my husband is uncircumcised, his penis did not "gross me out" or "scare me" when I first encountered it lmfao. I have no concerns regarding his ability to have or enjoy sex when he is ready.

We will not circumcise our boys because it is unnecessary. There is no reason to cut off a perfectly good part of our son’s body. There are also risks involved, however small, and I could never forgive myself if there was a complication or infection for an unnecessary procedure. 
All the reasons I’ve heard are shallow and unconvincing— “my husband is circumcised and we want him to look the same,” or “we don’t want him to get made fun or in the locker room.” That’s worth cutting off  a part of their kid’s body!? Not to me it’s not. 
So it is risky, unethical, and unnecessary. We will leave our future sons intact

My fiancée is not circumcised and if we had a boy (this baby is a girl) we were not going too. It’s not needed and there’s nothing wrong with the penis the way it was naturally intended to be! My fiancée is clean, his penis never bothered me for a second and I see no reason to touch anything about my sons genitals. 
Of course it boils down to personal preference, religion and cultural debate. But we think it’s best to just leave it as nature intended!

Yes we did and we regret it. I was pretty sure I didn't want to have it done to our son but ultimately I left it up to my husband. We feel it is a cosmetic procedure and it doesn't need to be done. I'm pregnant again and we decided if it's a boy we wont circumcise him (we arent finding out the gender until birth)

We didnt circ our son. Literally no one in my family is circumcised and not one has had issues with that. 🤷 just clean it properly and you are good.

If this one ends up being a boy (36w unknown) it will be my husbands decision! He has said in the past if we have a boy he would want him circumcised so they are the same and it avoids questions! But he would also not know how to instruct a little boy to properly clean if uncircumcised.

I didn’t want to circumcise my sons but their father did. It turned into a big debate. I just want to due to we are born this way and I felt that that’s how it should be. Teach him the proper way to clean and he should be fine. I apparently lost that debate. But it is costly to do (another reason straying me away from it) our ins wouldn’t cover it due to it is not necessary and is considered cosmetic. For my second son it was even worse due to OB doctors didn’t do it anymore and we had to be referred out to a specialist, which took forever! My son was about 2 months when they did it and they make you sit in the room while they tie him down and do this procedure. My son cried for about 40 minutes after the whole thing. It was traumatizing. I absolutely hated doing that to them but they survived and are fine. I still believe in leaving the body how it naturally is made but the world thinks otherwise.

My son is circumcised, I left that decision up to my husband because I dont have a penis lol 🤷🏻‍♀️. He had no issues & it healed within a week.

Both my boys are circumcised and the baby boy I’ll be having in May will also be circumcised 🤷🏻‍♀️
