Remember our partners!!

Talia

I know that it doesn’t seem like your partner’s understands or wants this as bad as you do. But believe me it affects them just as much as it does us. Everytime you tell him or show him that negative test his hope fades a little more. He may not show it but it does.

Take time to talk to your partner and ask how HE is going mentally about all of this. Tell him to be honest and that there’s no harm and no judgement in opening up to you about his thoughts and emotions surrounding this tough journey.

Think of why he didn’t want to start years earlier if he didn’t want to. Maybe he wanted to get a career started so he could provide for the family you guys will have. Or maybe so you guys can have money for IVF eventually. Maybe he mentally wasn’t ready for such a big commitment.

It’s often easy to forget that our partners are just like us. They hate the negative after negative. They hate watching us pick ourselves to pieces after yet again another negative. They try to stay strong for us.

It’s hard seeing everyone else fall pregnant what seems so easily. But others have their battles too we just don’t know them.

I’m sorry if this isn’t what you guys wanted to hear or needed to hear but I thought I’d just put it out there for people to see and take into consideration.
