Is there a safe way to make your vagina smell better?

So I know you’re not supposed to wear any fragrances and certain soaps you should stay away from because it isn’t good for it. Also I know they aren’t supposed to smell great but my boyfriend always complains about how bad mine smells. He refuses to go down on it and during sex he tells me it smells bad. Also whenever I pull my pants down I can smell it too. I don’t have any type of infection and I mildly clean it. Is there any safe way I can make it smell a little bit better?
