Boyfriend troubles

So, my boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over two years. We are 27. When I first met him, he was in a lot of debt (credit cards, student loans, bank loans, etc.) Once he and I became serious, my dad was kind enough to bail him out of credit card debt by loaning him money. Fast forward two years later to now, and my bf asked me for rent money. Completely concerned, I asked him about his financial situation. Turns out, he is in tons of credit card debt (again) and has very little money saved. He hasn’t been able to pay my dad back a dime. He works a decent 9-5 job, but I really think he could find an additional job. I make significantly more money than he does and work saturdays for extra money. When I suggested he find a second job, he was really upset. He gets very defensive when I imply that he’s not doing enough. I’m really frustrated. I work 10x harder than him and have a lot of money saved. It seems unfair that I’m busting my butt and he isn’t. He’s a beautiful person, but I’m starting to resent him for his lack of work ethic and idk what to do. I really want us to work out so badly. I don’t want to break his heart! I know I am his everything. Any suggestions? Just really needed to vent.
