Late Period

Last month I had unprotected sex and my boyfriend came in me. I’ve had regular periods, but last month my period was late. I did end up bleeding which I assume was my period. It was a good amount but not as heavy as it usually is. This month we had protected sex, but now my period is late again. I’m trying to wait it out before going to get a test, but has this happened to anyone and what were the results?
