He tried to run me a bath

I feel bad now. Like maybe I made my fiancé feel stupid or something idk. He wanted to run me a bath today after a rough week for us both and trash Valentine’s Day. I could tell he was trying to try to do something nice.

This is the thing though. He kinda messed it up and it’s not as relaxing now because I feel bad. Because my fiancé has never drawn me a bath b4 yo u til this point he did not know how to to it 🤷🏾‍♀️. He asked me how I wanted to the water, if I wanted bath salts or bubbles. I had planned to use a bath bomb tonight so I didn’t want Bath salt at all but a little bubble. He came in and did the opposite of what I asked then came back and asked “do you want bubbles?” And I say oh lol aren’t there already bubbles from the bubble bath? And he said no bubbles are forming. So instead of waiting for him to semi surprise me with a bath I had to assist completely. Telling him where the candles were, the lighter, when to light then them bcuz they are tea candles and burn quick. I had to tell him the difference between bath salt and bubble bath liquid because he thought salt made bubbles. 🤦🏾‍♀️ after showing him all the stuff and kinda taking over he began to have this look on his face like failure so then I end up comforting HIM rather than vice versa. B4 I got in the tub I asked again if he was ok and he said yes but he isn’t. He’s moping in the kitchen 😞.

P.S. this is a learning experience for us both. My fiancé does not have a diagnosed learning disorder as far as we know and he is not developmentally delayed. However only this year in our relationship am I learning that he is..different. He learns, hears, and understands differently. This makes him special to me and I like that. It has been frustrating for myself and his previous employers to deal because we didn’t understand but now, with bae’s help I’m starting to learn that I have to speak in a certain way for him to understand things. Tonight I think I didn’t show enough patience with him.
