No judgement please

So my husband and I have 5 kids. I have 2, he has 2 + a step child he has raised since the child was young! We have a baby due June/July... we were originally told July 3rd and now they’re saying June 27th.. but not to worry if we go until July.

With that being said, we tried for a YEAR for this baby. We had a mmc, a chemical and then a miscarriage before finally getting out rainbow baby! 🌈 👶

We are both excited!

Previous to ya actually getting pregnant, hubby said “when we do get pregnant, I want to have a vasectomy. We will have 6 kids and don’t need anymore” but biologically .. we each will have 3. 2 with others and one together.

So last night (we’re 21+5) I asked him if he still wanted a vasectomy. He said “I’m considering it, but because of our previous losses I want to wait until after baby is ONE to get it done!

Okay.. cool. I get it. The first trimester isn’t the only milestone you have to get through to determine viability. So I said “well if we lost this baby.. this far along (or after birth).. do you actually think we would want to try/have another? And he said no.. Then as I was falling asleep last night (I think he thought I was asleep) he leaned over to my belly and began rubbing it talking to baby. Which was adorable and baby was very active! Anywho, he said some things that made me curious like “I can’t wait to meet you, but I know you won’t be daddy’s last” and “mommas in for a surprise after we have you.. she’s gonna want 10 more”

Any who.. we have always wanted a big family (which we have) and have been judged for having THIS one because “that’s a lot of kids” ... but it got me thinking.. and I couldn’t sleep after because he’s right... I do want more. At least one more. An even number of kids for each of us 😭 but I feel like I can’t bring that up to him.. or tell him I heard him without him wondering why I didn’t speak up then... but I froze lol !

How would you approach this? Would you just let it slide until you’re no longer hormonal, pregnant, and desperate to hold your baby 😂👶
