Stressed out job shopping

I applied for a job at ihop, not sure what exact day I applied but I got an interview I believe it was Thursday and the manager had said I would get a call Monday, Tuesday about if I got the job or not. I’m a student. So I have class from 12:30-5 on Monday and Wednesday so if I were to work it would most likely be after 6 or maybe even a few hours in the morning, which I know it’s doable but I’d rather work after class so that I’m not exhausted going into class. And I know a lot of people work jobs and go to class but I also know that I get overwhelmed and stressed so I want to have the best possible chance at passing my classes right? So when I applied I told him I can’t work Monday Wednesday and that on Tuesday and Thursday I would like to work a morning shift to evening. So like 7am to 6pm the latest so that at least I have an extra few hours on those few days to do homework and other adult stuff ya know. And then the rest of the week/weekend I’d work anytime. He didn’t call so I just now called him to follow up and he said to give him until Friday because he hasn’t reviewed my application. So at this point idk if I’m going to get a job. I know I have a lot of expectations, but I would still be working a lot of hours and it’d only be part time, and then I’d switch to full time in the summer, or probably in May. If I don’t get thst job I have another job I’d most likely get with a recommendation from an actual business person. But idk if they’re hiring part time and would be flexible with a student schedule. I texted the lady I volunteer for (we are quite close) cuz she’s friends with the manager lady and asked if she could find out if they’re hiring part time and are flexible. But I need a job and I’ve applied for many and have only got 1 response which is ihop. Ugh job shopping is so hard!!
