Sleeping with a Teddy???

Question

My son decided he wants to sleep with his teddy is it safe at 14/1t month old.. I just tried to take it off him but he's having not of it.. I've decided I'm going to take it away from him when he's fast asleep but what are your views???.
Ive always kept his cot completely clear so this is all new to me.

my little has been sleeping with a blanket since she was probably 10 months if no earlier, they are so mobile now they can move if it gets in the way

My son sleeps with a blanket and his teddy. Sometimes I find them both in a pile on the floor when I get him in the morning 😂

At 1 yr old it is fine for them to have a blanket and/or stuffed animals. Those without plastic parts(eyes, nose, etc) are best but those with are fine as long as kiddo doesn't try to chew on them or anything. No pillow until at least 2 yrs old.

I spoke with my pediatrician about it yesterday and he actually recommended it at this age as another means of self-soothing. My son is reliant on a pacifier and said a stuffed animal could also help us wean him.

My baby has been sleeping with a blankie for awhile so if he wanted a teddy instead at night I would be fine with it.
