Alright so let me start off by clarifying that in July I had VSG (weight loss surgery) and I’m down about 120lbs which is awesome BUT.. since surgery my periods have been strange. The first couple months I had two periods per month, it sucked, it then seemed to even put but they ranged from really light and short to really heavy and 5 days (which was normal for me pre-op). It’s not safe for me to be pregnant right now, they even make you sign a paper saying you won’t get pregnant for 18months post op. The dramatic weight loss puts pressure on the baby and your body plus the sheer fact that you are getting in a very limited amount of calories. We (DH and I) already have a 2yo son who’s amazing but we were shooting to try again in July, making it one year after surgery, hoping to hit my goal weight and by then the weight loss will slow and I’ll be able to eat more. But that’s not even my question..

so this past period (right on time) was really really strange. At first, hubby and I had some pretty rough sex (tmi I’m sorry) but when I went to the bathroom to clean up I saw red tissue in the toilet, not pink or brown light blood like I normally would at the beginning of my cycle, actual tissue. I got nervous but chalked it up to a clot.. the next day I started bleeding heavily, and the more nervous I got I kept checking the toilet to see what was coming out...and it quickly changed to massive pieces of tissue/clots but large in size. Not much pain other than cramping. I have pics, I will share here to peace of mind. I’m 99% convinced I had a miscarriage and didn’t know I was pregnant. I’m a “pussy” (sorry) about doctors and didn’t go, and was too afraid to see a positive pregnancy test to even check that, yes I know I’m stupid. But now.. almost 2 weeks later, I’m spotting again, I’ve got weird dryness happening during sex which happened with my first pregnancy, and sore tight cramps in my uterus. My cervix is low and closed and hard. Was it possible that I passed some heavy weird stuff and yet I’m still pregnant? What is going on with me? Technically if that was a period that just happened it would be too soon to take a test. Has this happened to anyone else? Please tell me I’m not crazy. This baby would be a blessing because we absolutely want another but this is very bad timing..
