Any IUI success stories ? Or just how your IUI experience went?

I am having my first IUI around the 3rd of March. I am taking Clomid days 5-9 instead of 3-7 which I took in November and December with timed intercourse with trigger shot.. 
I’m taking Clomid days 5-9 only bc my Dr. left the office today before she could call in the script and now it’s the weekend. 
Day 12 I have my follicle ultrasound 
They said I will be given a collection cup for my husband to take home and around 24 hours after taking the trigger shot I will come in for IUI. (He does his thang into the cup at home an hour before my appointment and then I bring it in with me 🤣)
That’s all I know at this point 🤷🏽‍♀️ lol 
Unexplained infertility. This will be our 21st month ttc I’m pretty sure.. I kinda have lost count. 
Any success stories? Does it hurt? How much did yours cost if insurance didn’t pay ? Just tell me all the things !! Lol
Fun fact my husband is a triplet due to Clomid and IUI his mom said they only did one IUI with Clomid 32 years ago and now I have my husband and two wonderful bro in laws lol

Hi:) we had our first IUI last month! I have PCOS, endo and a blocked L tube. I had a chemical last month but that honestly the closest we have gotten to good news! We are currently in our second round. Took Letrozole days 4-8 and will trigger depending on what ultrasound shows on Monday. It doesn’t hurt at all in my experience! Our insurance does not cover infertility so we pay out of pocket for ultrasound, trigger and IUI. When it comes to the sperm sample, I assume they wash it when you bring it in but I think that’s a pretty crucial step. We have to drop the sample at a lab and then go pick it up and bring it with us but that’s probably because we live in a smaller city. They will measure your follicle sizes and hopefully you have some that are mature and ready for trigger! Fingers crossed!

Do you mean you have to be there an hour before your appt with the sample?  Have him do it as CLOSE to when you leave your house as possible and keep it warm in your armpit, cleavage, or between your legs the entire time! The Iui is similar to a Pap smear-Easy peasy.

I had success on my 2nd round. I took letrozole, gonal f and trigger. Took progesterone after IUI. The procedure didnt hurt much just uncomfortable. You have to stay laying down for 10 mins after and then can go about your normal stuff. Good luck!

Also, I find it super weird that your husband doesn’t have to go to the office to give his sample. I would ask your doctor if he could do that at the office. It’s super awkward I know, but safest options for his swimmers.

We just did our first IUI and mid cycle for our second. Las cycle I had two juicy eggs on the right side only. I don’t remember their size. 
This cycle on my day 3 ultrasound I had 4 eggs (two on each side), and they were about 14/15 each. I go back on Monday for my follow up ultrasound. 
I would be so ecstatic if 1) I got pregnant 2) I got pregnant with twins. 
It doesn’t hurt at all! 
The hysteroscopy and the HSG hurt more than the IUI seriously, it was like a 15 second procedure. You can ask your dr if you can take Tylenol or Motrin before hand.
