Was it effective ?

My pamphlet says that after 7 days of consistent use I am protected from pregnancy. I had protected sex that last day. Should I trust that I didn’t ovulate and not stress ?..I start my placebo pills tonight but I’ve been spotting on and off since I started the pills and I took clearblue test that read negative. I’m supposed to start bleeding and I just don’t wanna be stressing about this when I’m supposed to be happy and celebrating.
