I don’t wanna stress on my birthday

My pamphlet says that after 7 days of consistent use I am protected from pregnancy. I had protected sex that last day. Should I trust that I didn’t ovulate and not stress ?..I start my placebo pills tonight but I’m already spotting and I took a clear blue test yesterday that read negative. I’m supposed to start bleeding on my birthday and I just don’t wanna be stressing about it when I’m supposed to be celebrating.
