MEDELA QUESTION. Does any one else’s leak even though it’s screwed on super tight? I pumped some milk and then the second I remove it from the breast, heaps of it leaks out where the arrows are pointing to. It’s frustrating

I have this pump and it hasn’t leaked but I don’t use it very often. My Spectra pump bottles leak there if I tip them too much when taking them off or if they shake too much when I try to disconnect them from tubes. It makes me sad to see the milk dripping out wasted so I really try to be extra careful.

I use this all the time at work, and mine tends to do that only if I had tipped it at some point (perhaps to see how much is in the bottle). That’s the only way mine gets milk into the seal area. Try to hold it perfectly flat and see if it leaks less. I hate wasting milk too - good luck!

Mine never did. Maybe you boiled one part and not the other? Boiling causes shrinkage

I’ve watched a YouTube video that said this is a problem she experienced with her Medela harmony, and I also experience this same annoyance with mine, and I always ensure it’s screwed on properly.
I’m not sure why it does this, but IMO it seems to be a common problem.

Maybe it’s just a faulty pump? I would say to just get a new one.
