Bp issues
I had blood pressure issues before I got pregnant but it was controlled medication up until I hit 20 weeks and that it spiked really high they started me on an extra medication they were able to somewhat normal is it. I’m 25 weeks now yesterday my blood pressure decided that it was going to go back up 150/100 which wasn’t as high as first time but obviously still very bad. They admitted me to the hospital and kept me for a few hours for monitoring and did a bunch of bloodwork. My blood work showed that I’m anemic which I already knew and I’ve been taking iron and vitamin C since before I got pregnant and then my albumin levels are low and globulin is high and my a/g ratio is low but everything else was ok. They gave me a steroid shot yesterday and I go back to the hospital tonight to get my second one for babies lungs just in case they cannot normalize my blood pressure and God for bid she has to come early. Bigger thing is if they can’t get my blood pressure under control or something comes up with my blood work I will have to be flown out of here as the closest nicu is four hours away if the baby is 28 weeks or later and for the early preemies the closest hospital is seven hours away. So that’s been even more stressful to think about.
Has anyone been through something similar that can offer some comforting words or ideas of how to not go crazy while on bedrest?
My blood pressure is better when I’m resting I have an at home monitor and it’s around 132/72 while resting, and baby is super active and has a heartbeat around 140-150 bpm. That has been a big relief but I know I gotta be healthy so she can keep growing in there!
