Hsv 1 & 2

Just found out yesterday I have hsv 1 & 2. I don't know how to deal with the news. I never had a std/sti before. I want to cry honestly. I feel like I've sentenced myself and my husband to a life long sentence of misery. My doctor says it's very common to get but I've had it for time. I told her I dont have outbreaks or any signs or symptoms of having it and she says that's common as well most people dont know th er y have it. Any advice or suggestions to lift my self up would be great. Ideas on how to be safe etc.
