Update- Why? (Don’t mean to offend)
So I see a lot of women in here that get their levels checked frequently in early pregnancy and have early ultrasounds.
When questioned about why they are having early ultrasounds or having blood drawn so frequently, the women usually say they have had miscarriages prior.
My question is, how does knowing your levels or having an early scan help? If there’s something wrong, they can’t do anything about it, right?
I guess it’s for peace of mind, but I think all pregnant women want that?
Update:
Thank you to all of the women who took the time to explain the different reasons why blood tests and early scans can be beneficial to a woman who has had early miscarriages. I truly did not know that things could be implanted to help your cervix hold a baby that early and I didn’t realize so many miscarriages were progesterone issues or even thyroid issues.
I’ve always been told early ultrasounds are pointless because you can’t see much and now I know that’s not necessarily true. Now I actually feel as though every mother should have early blood work and screenings and then maybe some women would be spared the pain of a miscarriage that may have been able to be saved.
To the few who were rude and continue to be rude , I was under the impression this app was to help educate people. I see many miscarriage posts and I see many posts about people’s levels and early scans , so I’m not sure why my particular question as to why some people get them while others don’t was so out of line.
You are free to explain why you don’t like something if you think it’s “low key shitty”... it doesn’t mean I have to delete it.. I think most of the responses were very informative.... so you can see yourself off the post if you don’t agree. ✌🏼
