My boyfriend lied to me should I stay with him?

My boyfriend has been lying to me for over a year about trying to find a new job. I have been trying to help and encourage him but he just dose not care to try. I am pushing myself in my life and working hard but he is not doing the same he told me that he went to an interview but then afterwards told me he lied because he was depressed. I’m so upset with him cause he made me feel like he was trying , I want a man who has the same passion as me and wants to move out and get married. Should I leave him or give him another chance?

If he’s so depressed he can’t work he needs to be seeing a therapist.  I honestly feel this because my depression is triggered by working to the point that I’ve considered applying for disability, but I have kids.  And this is while treating my depression.
If he isn’t doing anything to help his situation like a therapist or medication, then yeah leave.  If you don’t, at least have a serious discussion about the lying.

Who wants to be with someone who won't help ur relationship or move it forward.. it could be that u work for everything in ur relationship and all he does is take.. resent will grow.. u need someone who is also ambitious.. he is just dragging u down.

You said what kind of partner you want in your life and it sounds like your boyfriend can’t be that sad l ok it’s time to move on. Well that depends on whether you can put up with him being out of work and you supporting him for the rest of your relationship.
My SIL in exactly the same but my brother can’t see that’s she’s lying and making excuses about not getting a job and this has been going on around 8 years now since she’s had the shortest of jobs. 
It gets me so mad but then I figure if he’s prepared to put up with it and believe her then he deserves to struggle to support them.

Is he taking care of babies?? That’s the only reason I’d accept for not getting a job and leaving me to bust my ass for everything.
