Need an opinion or if anyone has gone through this

I’ve been seeing this guy for a couple weeks. I had a cold sore the second day I started seeing him. I would go over the next few days and he’d still kiss me. He said he didn’t care but I was worried.

He kissed me with the sore on February 16th

We had sex on February 21st but stayed clear of oral sex and saliva exchange cause cold sore (no judgement pls)

The next day he started having symptoms

- fever

- body aches

- swollen lymph nodes and sore throat

- dizziness

- canker sore

I am 100% negative in all STI tests though I do get cold sores.

I’m just really worried I’m the reason he’s so sick. Is this possible?
