Natural or C-Section?

So here is my story, I have had 4 natural births, all but one have been over 9 pounds. Last baby was 9”8 56cm long! He separated my pelvis 😖 I’m now 36 weeks & 3 days, I have GD controlled by diet, he was breach but has now turned & weighs 3.1kg which isn’t that bad. Hospital have given me the option of being induced at 37 weeks or c-section at 38 weeks. I’m very worried about my pelvis also of prolapse. Scared of both. Need some opinions, I’m also 44 years old so no spring chicken lol 😂

As someone who has had a section... I would suggest natural. You have had 4 babies naturally and your body is obviously well able to know what it's doing also if you're going to be induced at 37 weeks then you have a good chance baby could be smaller :) I don't think you should have major abdominal surgery if unnecessary. It can cause major problem later on in life (issues with birthing more child etc etc) but just make sure you're super informed before you make the decision:) best of luck!!

If I was in your position (this is just my thoughts though so you do what you feel is best) I would opt for the csection. The previous injury sounds very risky and letting the baby growing another week could still be very beneficial for their development. Good luck and whatever you choose will be okay🤍

I’ve had 2 vaginal deliveries and my 1st was a shoulder dystocia and absolutely terrifying (baby was born at 7lbs 7oz). 2nd baby was sams weight with no issue. This baby is measuring 10+ lbs so my OB and I have had many chats over the past few weeks and I am getting a c-section to avoid any unnecessary birth injuries to myself or baby. Sucky decision and I’m devastated but I know it’s what’s best! Just to give another perspective! Good luck momma!

Honestly, I am TERRIFIED of birth injuries. I personally would go with a c section especially if I had already experienced trauma from a previous birth. I know that c sections open a whole other can of worms. But that’s just me.
