If you didn't manage to BF or chose not to what country are you from?

Question

I am from UK and tried so hard for 8 weeks with pumping to boost supply after every feed and supplenting with formula. I had to stop as it just didn't work for us. I am from Scotland (Glasgow) and I think the successful EBF rate is quite low compared to other parts of the world.
If you chose not to breastfeed where are you from? Or couldn't manage to.
I still feel sooooo guilty. I do think from having my first son 3 years ago to my current baby there is probably more people breastfeeding now. Which doesn't help my guilt.

I chose not to breastfeed. I didn’t even try. I wasn’t interested in it. I educated myself on all the benefits, but I decided it wasn’t something for me. It irks me (no judgment towards mothers who do), it just isn’t for me. 
I’m from the United States. And trust me, I got my ass chewed out for it. God forbid my baby is fed. 🤷🏻‍♀️

From the US my milk was slow to come in due to a drug I was given for high blood pressure during delivery and I was enduced 3 weeks early. Had to supplement from the beginning because of that and low blood sugar (NICU 6 days) anyway I tried and tried for 3 months and drove myself crazy pumping and taking supplements but I finally let go of the guilt and let him just nurse for comfort until he didn’t want to anymore. We found other ways to bond and he is a healthy happy almost 8 month old chunk now :) I don’t feel bad about letting go, i tried my best and I made sure my baby got what he needed and that’s all that matters

From the US, California. I wasn’t able to bf my first. With my second I was actually able to do it and did it for 3 months, but then switched to formula. I didn’t really enjoy it and didn’t want to hassle with pumping at work.

I’m from the UK I nearly killed myself trying to Breastfeed. I had loads of milk and lots of help but the latch and transfer just wasn’t right. Also the hormonal effect on me was huge. I still feel guilty but I’m less embarrassed. I used to lie when people asked and only referred to “feeding” my baby so people would assume I was BFeeding. My daughter is healthy and currently tucking in to some watermelon.

I'm from the US and I tried SOO hard. She was in the NICU for 12 days and that made it really hard to get my supply up (lactation consultant made me feel worse) and then when we got her home we were supplementing with formula to make sure she was fed and after about 2 weeks home she just wouldnt latch anymore. It took a while to get over my mom guilt but shes a happy healthy chunky formula fed baby and I couldn't be prouder 💜

I’m still breastfeeding with July 2019, but my first I wasn’t able to feed past 5 months.
I was devastated.

Im in the US.. stoppef EBF at 6w.. stopped BF around 13w.. stopped pumping around 16w.. my supply was never enough after a tongue tie isssue

I'm so sorry that you carry this much guilt with you. I think society puts way too much pressure on the whole topic. I hope you find a way to be at peace about what's happened. Your baby knows nothing different. Just that you fed him and kept him warm. Bless you Mama!!

I'm from the US and I stopped breastfeeding at 7 weeks due to low supply, tongue tie, and baby's allergies. I almost exclusively pumped those 7 weeks because he couldn't transfer enough milk. I was supplementing with formula almost every day. Once we found a formula that worked for him, I got the clear from his doctor to stop and I did. It was too stressful for us.
