how i found out im pregnant with baby number 3

so i realized i haven’t gotten around to sharing this story on here yet and also realized i really wanted to share it with all you wonderful ladies! not sure if this is the right group so please let me know if it’s not so i can switch it to where it belongs! sorry if it’s a lot or a little all over the place i am a lot of details kind of person 😬 ok here we go...

i didn’t feel pregnant AT ALL. but my doctor was testing me every friday due to the meds i was on and not being on birth control or anything, it’s their policy and ive always just gone with it never expecting a positive. a missed period has never meant much to me because i have PCOS pretty bad so they have always been all over the place and even though i was charting them on glow i had stopped trying to conceive so i had stopped paying much attention and just wasnt using the app much anymore. i went in the one week in january for my usual stuff, and gave my urine sample to the nurse which she also uses to do the pregnancy test. it said negative like normal, so i went back to see the doc like normal and then in the middle of us talking the nurse poked her head in looking sort of embarrassed and she was like “ummm we have a minor issue” doc and i of course are like “omg what?!” and she’s like “well i got busy and left the test on my desk instead of throwing it straight in the trash like usual and, well, when i came back there was another line.... so i did another test using the urine sample and it took a minute but that one came up positive too...” so of course i just thought this must be a weird fluke or something because the second line was taking longer than you are supposed to wait or let the test sit, but they were like “nah you are most definitely pregnant girl” but they were kind enough to give me a few extra tests to take home with me to test myself again just because i was so apprehensive about believing it, and they all kept coming up positive after about four or five minutes. so i decided to go to my regular physician for confirmation. i assumed they would do blood work since the urine tests were taking a while, but they did do another urine and comfortably stated “yes, you are pregnant!” and printed out a confirmation sheet for me. and a few days after confirmation is when the nausea and fatigue hit. i still had trouble believing it though. my heart raced whenever i thought about it and i got butterflies in my stomach. until a little bit later when i went to my first OB appointment and they did a TVUS and i saw a TINY HEART BEATING inside of a little bean 😍🥰 i looked at the nurse and said “is that my baby’s heartbeat?!?” and she smiled at me and said “yup!” i wasn’t as far along as i had originally calculated, my LMP was december 17th but i must have ovulated a little late because i should have been 8+1 at that first OB appointment but i was measuring 6+4 instead so my due date went from september 22nd to october 3rd which is my brothers birthday and he was pretty stoked about that lol! i have two sons who will be 7 and 9 this summer and both of them are pretty excited and hoping for a baby sister as is daddy bear 🥰 my boys will have a total of 4 siblings once this baby comes because their bio dad has a daughter and a son with the one after me and a 5 or 6 month old son with his last girlfriend (i know i know he needs to chill lol) but unfortunately none of us get to see any of those kiddos, not even their dad 😔 but this will be my current SO’s first bio child (he is step dad to my boys and wonderful at it but they do also see bio dad and do phone calls and video chats whenever possible, and him and i are still very very good friends!) and this will be my last regardless of gender as i will be opting to get my tubes tied during my cesarean this time and since it’s a planned cesarean they usually take you about a week early so baby will be here around september 26th if all goes well and works out how it should. i am really hoping this baby will be my little girl finally but even if it’s a boy im really happy to be having a baby with this man i love so much 💙 im really struggling to come up with names if anyone wants to suggest anything? i have a bentley james and an izaya jordan and their siblings on their bio dad’s end are alaina ashton and noah 😌 SO’s name is matthew and i have identical twin nieces thanks to my brother kobe who’s names are averee and alyvia 🥰 if you have made it this far thank you so much for reading my story i know it was a long one haha if any of you want to share your story (any story!) with me the comments are definitely open and baby name suggestions and/or any questions you might have are welcome too! wishing all my fellow pregnant beauties a very happy and very very healthy 9 months and to all of you super women out there still trying to or having trouble conceiving i send you all the magic sticky baby dust possible and even more love and admiration! it took 2 1/2 years and tons of sadness and losing hope and giving up for me to finally get this baby and the wait was so painful and i feel you my heart is with you! for the first time mommies to be, you are going to be great 🥰 thank you glow community! love to you all! 💜💙🥰
