Do you guys let your 18 month olds sleep with blankets yet?

I let my son sleep with a blanket during nap time when I’m watching him the whole time on the monitor but it’s so hard for me to let him sleep with one at night. Worried about suffocation... thoughts???

We gave him a blanket and pillow the day he turned 1 😀

It’s a personal choice of course but statistically it’s very unlikely after 12m. We started around 14m.

He always has a blanket in his cot but he barely uses it. At night he has his grobag anyway but during the day he doesn't really use anything even though it's there

Nap time only at this point. I would be way too nervous to do it at night although I know she’s be ok. She’s going on 19 months

My daughter sleeps with a blanket, most mornings I wake to see little legs sticking out and her whole upper body burrowed and hidden. She has covered her head since the beginning (even when it was just a lovie). I sleep the same way and have my whole life so I can’t fault her for it. She’s fine. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I did ask her doctor about it, he said she’s more than capable of moving the blanket if she can’t get air now. 
I worry more about the climbing and blind cords.

Yes we have not long just gave him a duvet and a pillow and I find he more likely to be hanging out it rather under it 😂

My son has always had a blanket. When he turned 1 we gave him a quilt and pillow and he sleeps with two of his favourite teddies. I'm not worried. He is very good with quilts/blankets and teddies. I always check on him though.

My daughter is a total “blankie” baby. She has slept with the same blanket since like 6 or 7 months old and will not sleep without it under any circumstances. We also co-sleep though so I felt comfortable with her having a blanket.

She has 1 on top and 1 below her plus 2 pillows and a stuffed animal
