Well, a week and a half later we have confirmation that it is a blighted ovum; my husband took the day off to be with me after we left the fertility center. All I want to do is stay in bed and be alone, with the cat because he hasn’t left my side; I don’t want to go downstairs and hang out, I don’t want to make small talk and I don’t want to listen to the rambling on tv. I’m hurt and confused and I don’t want to take it out on my husband but I also don’t want to leave him alone because this is hard for him too. This was our first pregnancy after trying for 18 months and in and out of the fertility specialist’s office; for it to end like this is heartbreaking.
