Prolactin and provera

On cycle day 43 this month with all negative tests but no sign of af. So I called my ob to ask about scheduling a blood draw and possibly getting on the pill to help regulate my cycle. She wants me to come in tomorrow to test my prolactin levels and start me on provera. Can anyone tell me what to expect? What’s a normal range for prolactin and what does it mean if it’s low/high? And are there side effects of provera?

We’ve just begun our journey ttc baby #2 and I feel like there’s still so much I don’t know about baby making 😂
