Want to get married but he's scared

So me and my boyfriend have been together for awhile, and we've both talked about being ready to start a family, we've been TTC for 3 months now, I'm in the mindset of it'd be better to be married by the time I give birth but he's scared about it. He gets really paranoid that I'm going to leave him, and he said he's scared that if we get married one of these days I'm going to up and leave. Are there any ways I could convince him I'm in this for the long haul and put his mind at ease. He's said he is committed, and sees me as a permanent fixture in his life, but for some reason getting married does scare him more than us just being together. I feel like if I can convince him I won't ever just run off maybe he'll make the full commitment, any advice?
