When did you start the nursery?

When did you start your nursery? Ill be 12 weeks friday and want to at least get the get everything out of the room ( currently a spare, moving to another room in the house) and get the laminate flooring in.. is this crazy???

Not crazy at all! I probably started preparing our nursery around 12 weeks. Same situation: it was a spare bedroom, we sold the bed and moved everything else to our office. We had the floors cleaned because a friend gave me a gift card. I would have loved to get new floors, but we are in a rental, and he doesn’t seem to want to replace the floors. My husband started painting the room when I was about 16 weeks, and his grandma finished it a few weeks later. We now have all baby’s stuff in the room, just waiting for our showers to finish it out!

I started 2 miscarriages ago, and all that's done is the paint on the walls, lol. But that's partly because we did flooring through the entire house and still have the two spare rooms left to complete once the weather cooperates again.

If you have a lot that you’re planning on doing to it I would definitely start now. We just got ours emptied and I’m 28 weeks. Throwing a coat of pain on the walls and calling it good is my plan.

We had a LOT of work to do on the room for the nursery including new trim, doors, paint, etc. and clearing it out because we also used it for storage lol we started when i was 17 weeks because life gets in the way (plus holidays) and it wasn’t 100% done until I was 29 weeks. We may have gone at a slow pace but I liked not having to rush.
