Ladys how did you talk to your sons about consent and things like that I mean being on this app I have seen girls 13 asking about birthcontols and things like that so when should I talk to my son about condoms and consent? I was thinking 10 but that might be a little too young. He is only 7 months old but I am low key planning. When to have what conversations.

We work on consent all the time with my son who is 2.5. It looks different at this age, but it’s as simple as him asking someone before he gives them a hug and waiting for an affirmative yes or nod before he does so.

Long before 10. He needs a basic education in it before he goes to school, daycare, etc.

I have girls but it doesn't matter. You should begin having these conversations as soon as they're old enough to understand words. You start with body parts, real names like penis and vagina. My 1 year old is in this phase. Then you go from there as they can comprehend more complex things. My 4 year old understands she can say no to touching and should ask permission to touch other people. She understands generally how babies are made and that when she's older she'll have periods like mommy. This is an ongoing and evolving conversation.
