Tbh I’d ring your hospital if that’s where your giving birth, depending when you had the sweep if you were 2/3 cm then you could possibly be admitted or might be worth getting checked if it’s still bright red and frequent. Always better to be safe than sorry. Just try and be up and actively walking around for as long as you can and that will help the most, good luck
Membrane sweep
I’m 40+3 weeks pregnant. Contracting every 6-8 minutes. In absolute agony! Lost loads of my mucus plug already. Just been to see my midwife and she did a sweep for me. She said I’m 2-3cm dilated which is great but after she did it there was a lot of bright red blood! She said it’s normal and to worry if there’s more than a teaspoon but everywhere I’ve read says that it’s normal to have spotting or brown blood. I’ve been having bright red blood! Is this normal? Has it happened to anyone else?
