Castor oil?

I looked it up on here to see what everyone thought and I’m not sure why everyone swears against it, I want to try it and from everything I’ve read while looking it up it seems to be 100% safe? Opinions ? I’m 40 weeks today and want to get the ball rolling, I know everyone keeps saying “baby will come when she’s ready” but if she doesn’t I’m going to be induced anyways and she still won’t be “ready”

Castor oil is a laxative, not only to you but also to your baby. Meaning they can poop in the womb and aspirate it. Castor oil should only be used with close medical supervision.

It can make your baby poop in utero. That can kill your baby if its injested. Its NOT safe.

This isn’t meant to be mean at all, but I don’t know where you’re looking up that it’s 100% safe. 
There are tons of risks that come with drinking castor oil. It can cause your baby to pass meconium in the womb and swallow it, which can be very harmful. It can also cause severe diarrhea in yourself and cause you to be dehydrated during labor which isn’t good either. 
I was told to never try it. 
Again, not being rude at all!

But why would you want to give your baby CASTROL OIL... like seriously.. be patient. I was 41 weeks with my son and not once did I want to hurry/move things along. I got induced. And he still didnt want to come. Was in labor for literally 23 hours. I didnt care. But I knew I wasnt feeding him anything that was gonna harm him

Babies die from this unfortunately, really not worth the risk in my opinion. I really hope baby comes soon for you my last preganncy I got to 39 weeks and was very fed up so can imagine what 40 weeks is like!

My son was born limp and lifeless from that ☠poison☠ I took 2 teaspoons at 39+6 if I remember correctly. Went into labor on my due date water broke and it looked like a green swamp. He was in distress. The doctors made my mom and man turn my head away cause he said he was possibly alright gone. They pumped on his chest and restarted his heart and he vomited up all the meconium...I'm not sure were it was read its 100% safe but I know that's not correct. Proof of that I'd love to see for myself. Its a hard lesson I had to learn. Hes now almost 22yrs old and I've never touched the stuff again included in hair products in fear of that horrible day. Your statistics are incredibly wrong and its something that should be illegal honestly.

Start massaging your nipples for 5 min at a time. It will start giving you contractions. My water broke 5 min after and I was in full blown labor.
