Toddler first time sick, worried, normal?

My daughter is 2 and a half and has never been sick except for mild cold. About 4 nights ago she woke with a 103 degree fever. The next 2 days it was staying right around 101. Yesterday it was normal but she developed a cough and runny eyes and nose. Last night she had a hard time falling asleep, she had a fit because her jammies were too tight so I took them off and she fell asleep but woke about an hr later screaming to nurse. I nursed her for about 45 min and tried to move her and she had a fit again and just kept moaning and crying and saying please mom so I nursed again and repeat, tried to move her and she flipped out this time screaming for her dad, he comes in tries to console her and she just laid in his arms whimpering and crying for an hr, finally he took her out to the living room and put on tv and gave her a snack. She finally went to sleep. This morning she has been very fussy, crying over everything, wants a food item, I get it and then she freaks out. Her temp is normal but she still coughing and her eyes are runny and crusty. I'm not one to run out to the Dr unless necessary but do you think I should take her? Shes just acting so different and cranky and bratty IDK if this is normal sick toddler behavior or not because like I said, she never gets sick!
