Finished birth control a week ago and still no period?

This is my first cycle with birth control and I’m a bit confused as to when I should expect a period. I was told by my dr to start the day I got it (I was on day 3 of my period the 6th of February)and I took it same time everyday except for 3 separate days where I missed it but doubled up the next day. I finished my last pill on the 26th, Should my period have shown by now? Or is this my body just adjusting? I also spotted for a week after missing the first pill about a week after starting it.
