due date question ?

my original due date was the 21st of July. but at my anatomy scan they said baby was measuring ahead which made my due date change to the 17th of July. so i would be 20+5 or 6 as if today. my doctor said she wasn’t changing the due date because it wasn’t a full week difference. When i had my son i was due the 11th of february and they changed it to the 7th and it wasn’t an issue. i ended up having him on the 7th also. 
i changed my due date on the app regardless because it’s a big difference to me. is that wrong ?

When you’re this far along babies will measure at different rates just like any kid will therefore it’s not alarming when they say they’re measuring “behind” or “ahead” by a few days. Which is why the first/earliest ultrasound you had is the most accurate for dating purposes, so go off the due date from that one. They will no change your due date unless your first dating scan was significantly off from your last menstrual period

Well you can change it on the app but I’d go by what your doctor says. My babies always measured over 1 week ahead at the 20 week ultra sound. My first was born the day after his due date and my second was born on exactly 39 weeks.

I had IUI so I know exactly when I got pregnant to the day and my baby was measuring I think almost 1 1/2weeks ahead

i was wondering the same thing ? my midwife said she can’t go based off the dating scan i had at 9 weeks because their not allowed but that at my anatomy scan at 20 weeks would be my dating ultrasound ?

The best time to accurately predict due date is with the dating ultrasound between 8-12 weeks. They really shouldn’t be changing your due date based on measurements at later scans. Some babies are bigger, some are smaller. Doesn’t mean due date needs to change. And it’s very uncommon for babies to come on their due date anyway so it doesn’t really matter

Baby’s very very rarely measure for their correct EDD for each scan they can be up to 2 weeks infront or behind before your due date is changed officially, 
Always stick with your original due date from your dating scan unless they tell you that your due date has changed
