My boyfriends family has lice.

I just found out from my boyfriend that majority of his family has lice and have been living with it for years...I literally am shocked and can’t look at them the same. He thinks it’s no big deal, is that true? I just feel like how could you not tell me this all this time that we’ve been together?

Edit: so the reason I haven’t got it yet is because his family doesn’t approve of me, they don’t wanna meet me (and good thing I guess lol)
