Induction at 39 weeks

So after I failed my 3 hour gtt, I was classified as having gestational diabetes. I've been monitoring it for a week now and my numbers look great! I'm supposed to have a growth scan next week to see how big little miss is getting and determine our plan of action. My doctor said I may have to be induced at 39 weeks. I'm usually pretty chill but I'm kind of nervous about the idea of being induced. Can anyone share stories of being induced, good or bad? What is the process like?
