Should I give the receipt or keep it ?

I’m buying presents for my brother and his fiance’s bridal shower..majority of gifts are on their registry . Should I give them the receipt or just keep it. Usually if people get multiples or the wrong color they may want to exchange or return it..: but I also feel like it’s tacky to give the receipt

You should get a gift receipt. Of it's too late don't put it in but verbally tell them you have the receipt of they need it.

Thanks ladies..so I kept the receipt & today at the bridal shower she only received a double gift which was glass sets . But glasses are something that I wouldn’t mind having extra

Don’t worry about it. Even if they have to exchange it for store credit, there is 100% chance they will need something else for the baby to use a credit on.

As others said if it’s on a registry no need for a receipt to return it as the store keeps the purchase record. Must be purchased through the registry though

I would get a gift receipt but if you're buying off the registry, it should be in the right color and everything. And usually have it all in the system.

If it’s off the registry it’s easy to return even without a receipt.
