I will always say that pushing didn’t hurt. It was huge relief because you’re working with the contractions to get baby out. The transition phase is the worst. But I have a high pain tolerance so it was all bearable for me.

Contractions hurt! Pushing didn’t - it felt great to be able to do something to oppose that pain. There is a brilliant book called Birth Skills by Juju Sandin that explains it all and gives amazing ways to help with the pain

The most painful was the cervix checking. It hurts more than contractions 😩

I tried to not push because I was home alone and that was the worst pain of the whole thing. Pushing felt good, I could do something to help with they pain. When the baby is crowning the ring of fire is a thing I didn't know about.

I had back labour and wasn't prepared for it at all. So second time round I'm preparing for back labour, even though I might get normal labour. Back labour felt like my body was being torn open from my pelvis to the middle of my spine, kind of like someone trying to pull my spin out. I also had no break between contractions. I went into labour with instant painful, constant contractions (no build up like usual). I was prepared for gradually building contractions with breaks between, but I didn't get that and I'm actually a little annoyed nobody warned me first that it could be just that bad. I was completely numb from chest down during the pushing and birthing part due to my doctor messing up local anaesthetic for my episiotomy so I didn't experience the "ring of fire" or the relief of giving birth.

Contractions are awful! When you start to push you will feel a sense of relief cause that's what your body is designed to do

All of it. I had three natural no pain relief births and I can honestly say I’ve never felt pain like it and I hope never too! Apart from when I try again and have another. 
Is what it is. It’s child birth. However there are medications if you want pain relief.
All my videos show me smiling after so cant be all bad.
