When do I need to see a doctor?

I found out I’m pregnant on March1. I don’t have an obgyn I just go to my family doctor in the past for yearly checkup. I am having a hard time deciding on a hospital because I want recommendations from my girlfriends who have multiple kids but I can’t tell them yet.
When do I need to make up my mind and call an obgyn? This is my first pregnancy

You need to call soon. They will want to see you around 8 weeks. If you pick popular OBGYN you might have to wait to be seen. Also A lot of OBGYNs can deliver at multiple hospitals. I was given 3 different hospitals to choose from with my OB.

I found out The same day as you and my OB wants to see me on week 6 so I’m guessing that’s the standard haha

usually they wont see you until 8+ weeks unless you have some sort of issue that may make you high risk. i didnt see an OB until 13 weeks. although you could always go to the ER and get your levels checked and get an ultrasound (prob wont see anything yet) and they will refer you to an OB and give you a number
